Cookies & browser storage
Understand necessary storage, optional analytics and session replay, and manage your privacy choices.

Your choice
digiwleea uses cookies and similar browser storage. Necessary storage supports features you request. Usage metrics and diagnostic recordings are enabled by default to help develop the platform. You can turn either off without losing access to the editor or course. During our 28 September 2026 settings update, earlier website preferences were reset to enabled. Choices saved after that reset remain in effect.
You can select analytics and session replay separately. Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals do not automatically change these website settings; use the controls here to turn collection off. Choices apply to the browser where you make them. Choices remain until you change them or clear browser storage; an old opt-out does not expire and re-enable collection.
What is stored
| Storage | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
digi_session cookie | Necessary: keeps you signed in. Sent to our server, protected from JavaScript access, and secured on HTTPS. | Up to 30 days; cleared on sign-out. |
digi-privacy-v2 local storage | Necessary: remembers your privacy choices and their date. | Until you change your choice or clear browser storage. |
| Circuits, libraries, course progress, drafts, theme and settings | Functional storage for features you use, primarily in local storage and browser databases. | Generally until you clear browser data or remove the relevant work or setting. |
digi-anon-id-v1 local storage | Meters the guest AI allowance and helps prevent abuse when using AI or related account features. | Until you clear it; a new identifier may then be created. |
digi-metrics-outbox-v1 session storage | Optional: temporarily buffers usage events until the server acknowledges them. | Up to 24 hours within the tab session; cleared when usage metrics are disabled. |
digi-circuit-trace-v1 session storage and local AI diagnostic log | Optional: buffers recordings and diagnostics while session replay is enabled. | The replay outbox lasts for the tab session; pending diagnostics are discarded when you turn recording off. Uploaded circuit recordings have no automatic expiry. |
| Service-worker and asset caches | Keep requested application resources available and support offline use. | Until replaced, evicted by your browser or cleared. |
This table groups related application keys rather than listing every saved circuit or preference separately.
Voluntary beginner trials
If you choose to take a beginner trial, sessionStorage holds a temporary trial reference for up to one day in that tab. It connects your submitted feedback to available circuit recordings. It is used for the trial you request; your optional recording settings still apply.
Analytics and session recordings
Our optional first-party analytics does not set a separate analytics cookie. It sends page visits and product events to our server, which derives a daily visitor identifier from network and browser information. Optional metrics also store a temporary identifier in sessionStorage to connect tool navigation and learning milestones in the same browser tab and UTC day. It rotates daily and is removed when usage metrics are disabled. A clicked practice recommendation is remembered in that tab for at most two hours within the same UTC day, so we can measure whether the matching task was started, wired or completed. Events are sent while usage metrics are enabled and stop when you turn them off.
Optional replay stores a temporary browser-tab identifier in sessionStorage that rotates daily and is removed when recording is disabled. It includes page clicks, sampled pointer positions, scroll depth and foreground viewing time across public pages, without form values or page text, as well as circuit contents, edits, cursor movement, open panels, errors and AI interactions for administrator review. Successfully uploaded circuit recordings and page interaction logs are retained indefinitely unless removed following a valid request or applicable obligation. See the retention section of the Privacy policy.
Changing or clearing storage
Use Privacy settings, or the Usage metrics and Session recordings switches under Settings > General > Privacy in the lab, to stop future optional collection. Closing the initial notice preserves your current settings; it does not enable or disable collection. Clearing browser data can also remove your choices, local circuits and progress, so export important work first. Clearing browser storage does not delete server records or cancel subscriptions. To request deletion of information already uploaded, email [email protected].
If browser storage is unavailable, the enabled defaults apply when a page opens. You can turn collection off for that page, but we may be unable to remember your choice on your next visit.
Other services
Our delivery and security provider, Cloudflare, may use necessary security technologies. Polar’s checkout and billing portal operate under their own storage and privacy notices. We do not load advertising trackers or a third-party session-replay service. For provider details, see our Privacy policy.
