Like CircuitLab, but focused on digital logic and free to start
CircuitLab is an online schematic editor and circuit simulator that runs in the browser with nothing to install. It simulates analog and digital components side by side (mixed-mode), and it is sold as memberships: Micro at $24 a year (limited to 10 items per schematic), Hacker Lite at $79 a year or $16 a month, and a Student Edition through a $2,400 a year school site license. If that is what brought you here, digiwleea is a free, in-browser alternative with a different angle: you build a computer from the transistor up.
What CircuitLab is good at
CircuitLab is a real electronics tool: it simulates analog parts at the level of voltages and currents side by side with digital logic, which is what you need to design and analyze practical circuits before building them. It also publishes a free interactive textbook, Ultimate Electronics, full of example circuits. (digiwleea is an independent project, not affiliated with CircuitLab, Inc.)
How digiwleea is different
digiwleea is narrower on purpose: it is about digital logic, from the transistor as a switch up to a working computer. The lab and the first act of the course are free with no item limits, and you build NOT, NAND and every other gate from CMOS transistors, then adders, latches, registers, RAM and control logic, following a guided 40+ level course to an 8-bit CPU you program in assembly, with an AI tutor (Wleea) to explain faults. CircuitLab is the better pick for analog design, component values and real voltages; digiwleea is the better pick for learning how logic and computers work.
| CircuitLab | digiwleea | |
|---|---|---|
| Focus | Analog and digital electronics (mixed-mode) | Digital logic, transistor to CPU |
| Runs in | The browser | The browser |
| Price | From $24/year (10 items per schematic) | Free lab and Act I; Premium for the full course |
| Learning material | Free interactive electronics textbook | 40+ level course + theory lessons |
No sign-up is needed to start: open the lab and place your first transistor, or read the free theory course. The account (and the AI tutor) are optional.
See for yourself: build a logic gate from transistors in the simulator, then follow the path from sand to an 8-bit CPU.

Is digiwleea a good CircuitLab alternative?
Yes, if you want to understand digital logic from the ground up. digiwleea is a free, in-browser simulator with a guided 40+ level course where you build every gate from CMOS transistors and work up to a real 8-bit CPU, with an AI tutor to help.
Is digiwleea free?
The sandbox lab and the first act of the course are free and need no sign-up. An optional account adds the AI tutor and cross-device sync; the full course and expanded AI tutoring are included in the monthly or annual Premium subscription.
Do I need to install anything?
No. digiwleea runs entirely in your browser, on desktop or mobile, and works offline once loaded.
