Like Proteus, but a free browser course in digital logic
Proteus, from Labcenter Electronics, is a schematic capture and PCB design suite, and its Virtual System Modelling (VSM) simulator blends mixed-mode SPICE circuit simulation with microcontroller simulation: you load your firmware onto a supported microcontroller on the schematic and co-simulate it with the analog and digital parts around it, peripherals included. It is commercial software with a free trial. If that is what brought you here, digiwleea is a free, in-browser alternative with a different angle: you build a computer from the transistor up.
What Proteus is good at
It is a serious embedded-engineering tool: the microcontroller models run your machine code like a real chip, with ports, interrupts, timers and USARTs, and you can debug with breakpoints, single stepping and variable display before ordering a prototype, then carry the same schematic into PCB layout. (digiwleea is an independent project, not affiliated with Labcenter Electronics.)
How digiwleea is different
digiwleea answers a different question: not how to test firmware on a ready-made microcontroller, but how a processor works inside. In the browser, with nothing to install, you build gates from CMOS transistors, then adders, latches, registers, RAM and control logic, and finally an 8-bit CPU that you program in a small assembly language, following a guided 40+ level course with an AI tutor (Wleea). Proteus is the better pick for embedded product development; digiwleea is the better pick for learning digital logic and computer architecture.
| Proteus | digiwleea | |
|---|---|---|
| Focus | Embedded design: firmware plus circuit, then PCB | Digital logic, transistor to CPU |
| Simulation | Mixed-mode SPICE with microcontroller models | Switch-level digital logic |
| Price | Commercial, with a free trial | Free lab and Act I; Premium for the full course |
| Guided course to a CPU | No (a professional tool) | Yes, 40+ levels |
No sign-up is needed to start: open the lab and place your first transistor, or read the free theory course. The account (and the AI tutor) are optional.
See for yourself: build a logic gate from transistors in the simulator, then follow the path from sand to an 8-bit CPU.

Is digiwleea a good Proteus alternative?
Yes, if you want to understand digital logic from the ground up. digiwleea is a free, in-browser simulator with a guided 40+ level course where you build every gate from CMOS transistors and work up to a real 8-bit CPU, with an AI tutor to help.
Is digiwleea free?
The sandbox lab and the first act of the course are free and need no sign-up. An optional account adds the AI tutor and cross-device sync; the full course and expanded AI tutoring are included in the monthly or annual Premium subscription.
Do I need to install anything?
No. digiwleea runs entirely in your browser, on desktop or mobile, and works offline once loaded.
